I worked with Kindred Agency on a DCMS campaign for Let’s Talk Loneliness to promote throughout Loneliness Awareness week 2020. I created short illustrated frame by frame animations demonstrating three key ways to stay connected; Video chats and phone calling, playing games together online, and dropping off shopping for those who can’t get out.
Art Directed by Kindred Agency. I also assisted the motion design of their 40 second campaign video.
In 2018, following recommendations from the Jo Cox Foundation, the UK Government announced a programme of work to tackle loneliness. Following this the Loneliness Strategy was introduced, which committed to tackling the stigma of loneliness and promoting the importance of social connections.
From this, the #LetsTalkLoneliness campaign was born, to encourage everyone to start the conversation and say it’s okay to feel lonely and it’s okay to talk about it. Given the isolation that we have all been experiencing in Lockdown, that message is more important now than ever. This is a project I have been massively proud to have been a part of.
